Are you a purist with historicals?

I'm partially a purist-I would never have Molly in Felicity clothes or vice versa. But I buy Kit's clothes for Molly a lot of time, 10 years isn't THAT much of a difference with styles [img]smile.gif[/img] At least I rationalize that.

I also buy Addy's clothes for Kirsten and Nellie. I like Addy's simpler clothes (i.e. the work dress)-and Nellie doesn't have a "pre-Samantha" wardrobe. So she wears a lot of Kirsten and Addy's simplier dresses.

I also use Addy's for Kirsten, because they seem to be similar in style a lot of them.

I'm what you would call a very, almost to the point of insanity 'purist'! I would never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,......EVER, mix and match clothes with my historical dolls, or my historical with my AGT. I don't know why but it just feels like their out of place and character that way.

LOL. I would never put them them in AGOT clothes *grins* Or do drastic changes. I call myself a near-purist.

I didn't used to be, and I'm usually not, but every once in a while I have Felicity and Kirsten trade clothes, just to mix it up a bit. But don't worry, they almost always wear their own clothes [img]smile.gif[/img] And then my AGT wears their historical clothes, but that's not too bad.

Jordyn, interesting topic. I'm a near purist also. I agree with you on the Kit and Molly thing. 10 years isn't very long at all especially for hand-me downs in the depression era. I'm interested to hear how others feel.

I pretty much am, but I do have 2 Sams and 2 Mollys, so the two I adopted are decendents of the first two - they wear GOT clothing. MollyII even wears glasses (purple) and looks very much like her grandmother! It still bothers me just a little though, when I see them in GOT clothes.

As far as the others. . .they wear their own clothing. No mixing.

My girls are time travelers. I think it is fun for the girls to visit each other in there different time in history. I think the clothes and the furniture should not be mixed around but I love for the dolls to visit each other.

Addy was not feeling well, so she had to go home and get in bed. Ruth and Kirsten went with her to keep her company. Josefina has just popped in to check up on her.
